Health e-Messenger

The UCSC Student Health Center is pleased to announce the implementation of a secure website which allows communication either to and or from the Health Center in a variety of circumstances. Presently, you may submit various forms on line and your clinician may electronically transmit your lab results to you eliminating the need for telephone tag. We will keep you informed as new features are activated.

Login or Create an Account

Note: The Health e-Messenger is now integrated with the campus ID Management (IDM) system.  You simply supply your secure Gold password to log into your Health e-Messenger account.

Currently Active Features

Make An Appointment: Students can now make appointments on-line (currently Women's Annual Exam only).

Refill Your Prescriptions: Students can now submit the Prescription Refill Request form online.

Receive Your Lab Results: Students will now receive normal lab results via the secure website. A generic email notification will be sent to your university email alerting you that you have a secure communication from the Student Health Center.

Receive Your Billing Statements: Students will now receive Student Health Center billing statements via the secure website. A generic email notification will be sent to your university email alerting you that you have a secure communication from the Student Health Center.

Submit Forms: Students can now submit the Personal Health History, Immunizations, Hepatitis B Status Statement, and EAP Confidential Health History forms online.

Complete your Pre-Appointment Questionnaires: Students can now submit paper work for their appointments via the Health e-Messenger allowing for a more efficient use of time.

Using the Health e-Messenger

If you are logging into the Health e-Messenger website for the first time, you will need to create an account.  Select the “Sign up for an account” link and follow the instructions.

NOTE: You must have an active UCSC email account to access this secure on-line resource.   An access key will be mailed to your UCSC email address.  This access key is required to confirm your identity and complete your account setup.  First time users will also need to read & acknowledge the SHC Notice of Privacy Practices.  Please follow the instructions on the Home page.

Tips and Tricks

  1. The login and password are NOT the same as your *my.ucsc.edu* account.  You must create an account on our site by selecting "Sign up for an account" and following the directions.
  2. When creating your account or logging into our system, use your 7-digit SID# (without the W).
  3. Make sure your UCSC email is active because an activation key is sent to you when you create an account in our system.
  4. If your campus email address is forwarding to an off-campus email, you will not be able to get the activation key.  Temporarily stop forwarding which will resolve this problem.
    Go to https://www2.ucsc.edu/its/cgi-bin/chpobox to check if you are forwarding and to stop forwarding.
