Phishing email with misleading health information

August 18, 2024

Please be assured that there are no cases of Ebola in the campus community.

This morning, many UCSC community members received a test/training email from the UCSC ITS department. This test/training email indicated there was a confirmed case of Ebola within the UCSC community. The purpose of this email was to remind the campus community about best cybersecurity practices and help prevent future phishing attempts, including those that include misleading health information.
